About hvtrack
hvtrack tracks disease outbreaks the way a wire service tracks elections: fast, sourced, and quiet. Every case count links to the agency that reported it. Every update is timestamped. We do not predict, we do not panic, and we do not run ads against fear.
We started with the May 2026 hantavirus cluster aboard the MV Hondius. We will be here for the next one.
How verification works
Every tracked pocket shows its sources. A pocket reported by a primary public-health agency (WHO, CDC, ECDC, PAHO, or a national or state ministry of health) is marked verified by that agency. A pocket reported by a single major wire service is marked confirmed. A pocket reported by a single news outlet is published with a "1 source · seeking 2nd source" badge until a second independent source corroborates it. We do not retract pockets when sources contradict; we update them and keep the history visible.
What this site is not
Not medical advice. For clinical guidance see the CDC, the WHO, or your national health agency. We aggregate public statements; we do not interpret them.
